How SureFlap Microchip Technology Works
Every SureFlap cat flap contains an RFID antenna built into the tunnel surround. When your cat approaches, the antenna reads the unique 15-digit microchip number implanted under their skin (the same chip your vet uses for identification). If the number matches one of the registered IDs, the flap unlocks instantly — the whole process takes a fraction of a second. Unregistered animals get no response; the flap stays locked.
Microchip Security
Only your registered cats can enter. Strays, foxes and neighbourhood cats are locked out automatically.
App Control (Connect)
Set curfews, track activity patterns, receive push notifications and manage multiple cats from the Sure Petcare app.
Long Battery Life

Glass Patio & French Doors
We replace one glass panel with a brand-new toughened safety glass unit, pre-cut with the exact aperture for your chosen SureFlap model. Your existing frame stays in place. This is our most popular SureFlap installation — around 60% of our bookings.

We cut directly into the UPvc panel using specialist routing equipment designed not to crack or split the plastic. The SureFlap mounting adapter sits flush in the cut-out. Suitable for both single and multi-point locking UPvc doors.

Composite doors have a foam-filled core between two GRP skins. We use a plunge-cut technique to create a clean aperture without damaging the surrounding door structure. The SureFlap sits securely within the door's thickness.

Wooden doors are the simplest installation. We cut a clean aperture with a jigsaw or router, ensuring the edges are sealed to prevent moisture ingress. Both solid timber and hollow-core doors are suitable.
