Our experience fitting it
Customers usually buy the Connect after an illness, a house move or a close call with a road. Being able to lock the flap remotely and see when your cat came home is worth real money to those owners.
Pros
- App control — lock, unlock and set curfews from anywhere
- Logs every entry and exit with timestamps
- DualScan lets you keep one cat in while another comes and goes
- Same fitting dimensions as the standard SureFlap flap
Cons
- Requires the Sure Petcare Hub plugged into your router
- Lower average rating — most complaints relate to connectivity, not the flap
- Notably more expensive than a plain microchip flap

Fitting notes from our installers
Fitting is identical to the standard SureFlap, so you can upgrade later without changing the aperture. Keep the hub within reasonable range of the flap — thick stone walls between the two are the usual cause of drop-outs.
We fit this model into uPVC doors, composite doors and glass doors across the North West and Yorkshire.
