Our experience fitting it
We fit a lot of PetSafe flaps for households with three or more cats, where the 40-chip memory and long battery life matter more than app control.
Pros
- Stores up to 40 microchip IDs
- C-cell batteries typically last around 12 months
- Cheaper than the equivalent SureFlap model
- 4-way manual locking and a decent draught excluder
Cons
- No app, hub or activity tracking
- No collar tag option — your cat must be chipped
- Slightly bulkier frame than the SureFlap

Fitting notes from our installers
The 55mm tunnel is shorter than SureFlap's, so thick composite doors often need the extender kit. We carry extenders on the van.
We fit this model into uPVC doors, composite doors and glass doors across the North West and Yorkshire.
