Fitting a cat flap in a patio door is one of our most popular installations. Because patio doors use toughened glass, we replace the pane with a new toughened panel that has the cat flap hole pre-cut — your door still slides, locks and seals exactly as before.
How We Fit Patio Door Cat Flaps
Patio door glass is always toughened — it can't be cut, drilled or scored. So we measure the pane, order a like-for-like replacement with the cat flap aperture pre-cut before toughening, then return to swap the panel and install your cat flap with a full weatherproof seal. On sliding patios we usually fit into the fixed pane so the sliding mechanism is untouched.
