    Fully glazed aluminium door. We measure the sealed unit and order a matching toughened double-glazed pane with the cat flap hole cut before toughening, then swap it in and fit the flap.

    Aluminium door with a solid infill panel. We cut the panel directly, reinforce and seal the aperture, and fit the flap in a single visit.

    Start by measuring the existing hole, not the old flap. Most standard cat flaps use a 170mm circular cut-out, so a like-for-like swap is straightforward. If the new flap is larger you can enlarge the aperture in uPVC, composite, wood and aluminium — but never in glass, where a new pre-cut toughened panel is the only option.
