Timber Doors Done Properly
Wood is forgiving to cut and unforgiving if it's left unsealed. We position the aperture away from the door's structural stiles and hinge side, cut with a clean-entry blade so there's no splintering on either face, then seal every exposed edge before the flap frame goes in. The result looks like it was always meant to be there.
