About Leigh, Wigan

Doors & Properties in Leigh

The housing in Leigh is predominantly modern apartment blocks with private balcony doors and shared entrance halls, which typically feature tilt-and-turn doors and standard back-kitchen UPvc. We complete the majority of installations in a single visit, typically within 45–60 minutes.

Leigh (WN7) is one of the largest towns in the Wigan borough, stretching from Bedford and Plank Lane out to Pennington Flash Country Park and Astley Green. The housing mix runs from rows of red-brick Victorian terraces along King Street and Twist Lane, classic 1930s bay-fronted semis on Astley Street and Manchester Road, through to large modern estates near Leigh Sports Village and the Pennington Hospital site. UPvc rear doors dominate the older streets while the new-builds typically have composite fronts and patio rears — both of which we routinely fit microchip flaps into, with a particular concentration of installs around the streets bordering Pennington Flash where the wildfowl and visiting cats make a chip-controlled flap essential.
